Ronald Fairclough Fairclough, Ronald, 15th March 1945, Royal Air Force (VR), 207 Squadron,  191841, Pilot Officer (Flt Engr.), Grandson of Mary Ann Mundy, of Panteg, Pontypool, TREVETHIN (ST. CADOC) CHURCHYARD, Plot 2. Row 7. Grave 11.

Note... Ronald Fairclough is the reason why I set up this web site. It took quite a number of hours over two days to find Ronald's grave as he is buried in a family grave that has become very dilapidated and damaged with time. Looking down at his grave I thought to myself, at the going down of the sun and in the morning, whose going to remember you?!!

Obituary               Ronald Fairclough's sunken grave               Headstone fallen flat, fortunately with the inscription up               Reverse view of his grave               207 Squadron RAF

A relative of Ronald Faiclough who lives in Guernsey, Jill Bray, on seeing the above photo's of PO. Ronald Faiclough's grave as now had the grave totally refurbished and the following photo's show it as it is now.

Ronald is sat front row, 2nd from the right. The names of the other men are unknown but they could be the other crew members that died with Ronald on the same operation. The Lancaster bomber that Ronald was killed in was EM-A (LL902) of 207 Squadron RAF. http://www.lancastered627.shaunmcguire.co.uk/Lancaster%20LL902.htm
